GREECE:It is imperative to save our Democracy here and now

And so, at this very moment our country has made tremendous strides toward dictatorship of speech, to circumvent all rights governing a Republic, inapplicable provisions of the State Council, if this is not the interest of the governments concerned, indifference and encroachment the rights of millions of Greeks for work, education, public health care, and the ultimate right to life and dignity.

As Costas Vaxevanis in a recent article:

Titled Why I fear Junta

The Republic is not threatened and not falling, if not humiliated. Does not disappear with automation, if not look redundant in the eyes of the world. Not dominate saviors, if first the Republic has not shown incapable of solving the problems created by the operation. The Republic falls if shown to be incompetent and unnecessary.

Worse, I have to add myself, is that all this has happened by us, all of us that when we were called to the polls to vote chose the wrong way, either as a punishment and well, giving power to the far right who always was somewhere outhere in Greece, giving a convoluted command which was interpreted at will by the parties carnivorous current power.

And in all this with tolerance by all and the lack of availability to revolt at any cost.

Where exactly then placed the Greek citizen in all this? Who will defend its interests and  his life?

Who will protect future generations from suffering, slavery, the working middle ages? Who will help our children build a future with dignity and democracy?

Who if not all of us and only us, correcting the desperate situation in which our country is driven by the unthinkable for many step inward revolution, before any concept of democracy that spawned, humiliated to the point where there will be no refund.

I appeal to everyone, in your soul ,that we carry for centuries, which allowed us to do miracles that govern human history for centuries, this Greek soul who was always ready to fight even sacrificing its Human body for the sake of the spirit and continuity of a world in which professes the Humanism, equality before the law and the confidence , matrices concepts  scored many centuries ago by our ancestors, namely ourselves.

It is imperative to save our Democracy here and now.
